In a decisive move, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has ordered the transfer of 10 IPS officers across Madhya Pradesh, following public controversies and internal clashes that gained significant political traction. The reshuffle, executed swiftly, reflects the CM’s zero-tolerance approach to indiscipline and public disorder within the police ranks.
Key Trigger Points: Datia and Katni Incidents

Two major incidents prompted the administrative shake-up:

Datia: A reported altercation broke out during preparations for the May 31 airport inauguration, allegedly involving the IG, DIG, and SP, in the presence of BJP workers and the public.

Katni: SP Abhijeet Ranjan became embroiled in a controversy linked to a domestic dispute between Tehsildar Shailendra Bihari Sharma and his wife, CSP Khyati Mishra, which sparked public unrest and statewide debate.

Taking to social media platform X, CM Yadav described the officers’ behavior as “regrettable and unbecoming of public service,” stressing that such conduct will not be tolerated. Transfer orders were issued within an hour of his directive.

This latest police reorganization signals the Madhya Pradesh government’s renewed focus on law and order, professionalism, and public accountability in the run-up to key policy rollouts and political milestones.
