Senior IAS officer Nitin Kumar Yadav (IAS: 2000 batch, Haryana cadre), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has been granted an in-situ promotion to the rank of Additional Secretary.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the temporary upgradation of Yadav’s current position to that of Additional Secretary. The promotion is specific to Mr. Yadav and is considered a personal measure.
This elevation highlights the government’s continued confidence in his leadership and his significant role in shaping key trade and commerce policies.
