Odisha: 30 State Administrative Services officers promoted to IAS, here is the list

30 Odisha Administrative Services Officers have been lately elevated to IAS rank. Please check the full list here.

In a major administrative development, President Droupadi Murmu has approved the promotion of 30 Odisha Administrative Services (OAS) officers to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), addressing vacancies for the years 2023 and 2024.

As per an official notification, the promotions have been granted under the Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, and the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955. Of the 30 officers, 15 have been promoted to fill vacancies from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, while the remaining 15 will cover vacancies for the period between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

The newly promoted officers will be assigned to the Odisha Cadre and placed on probation until further directives. The notification, issued by Sanjay Kumar Chaurasia, Under Secretary to the Government of India, confirms that these appointments were finalized in consultation with the State Government.

This promotion follows a previous elevation of 15 OAS officers to OAS Grade-A (Senior Branch) in November 2024 by the Odisha government, further strengthening the state’s administrative framework.
