PK Taneja appointed Home Secretary of Gujarat,Govt shifts 26 IAS officers

Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in Forest and Environment department P K Taneja, has been appointed the full-fledged ACS of Home Department,Gujarat.The state government had not filled up the post of ACS-Home ever since former home secretary S K Nanda was transferred in October last year. After Nanda’s transfer, ACS in Urban Development and Urban Housing Department G R Aloria has been given the additional charge.As Aloria appointed as the Chief Secretary two weeks ago, Taneja, a 1984-batch IAS officer, has been holding the additional charge of the Home department. Now, he has been transferred as the full-fledged ACS.
