Punjab: 2 Top Cops Transferred, Sirivennela Appointed SP City, SAS Nagar

Chandigarh: In the latest administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred two IPS officers as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance governance and strengthen law enforcement across the state.

As per the new transfer orders:

Harmandeep Singh Hans, a 2015-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), SAS Nagar.

Sirivennela, a 2021-batch IPS officer, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) City, SAS Nagar.

While the specific details of their new responsibilities are expected to be formalized in the official notification, these transfers reflect the government’s commitment to deploying experienced and capable officers in key positions.

The move comes amid a broader restructuring initiative aimed at improving administrative efficiency and ensuring effective policing across Punjab.
