IAS officer Rachna Shah has been entrusted with an aditional charge of DARPG & DoPPW during V Srinivas’s leave.
New Delhi, April 30, 2025 — Rachna Shah, a 1991-batch IAS officer currently serving as Secretary of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), has been assigned additional responsibilities for two major departments within the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
As per an official order, Ms Shah will assume additional charge as Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) from May 1 to May 9, 2025. This temporary assignment follows the leave of V Srinivas (IAS: 1989: Rajasthan cadre), who currently holds both positions.
A senior bureaucrat from the Kerala cadre, Ms Shah has previously held several significant positions in the central government. Her interim appointment ensures continuity in the administration and effective governance during Mr. Srinivas’s absence.
