As the BJP government marks 100 days in power in Delhi,  significant administrative changes may be on the horizon soon.

According to sources, Delhi’s current Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, is likely to be transferred to Jammu and Kashmir. In his place, former Karnataka Cadre IAS officer Rakesh K Singh has the best chances for the consideration as the new LG of Delhi. However, no official confirmation has been issued yet.

Delhi is likely to see a change in its Lieutenant Governor (LG) soon, as the central government is reportedly planning a reshuffle of several gubernatorial positions. According to sources, the current LG of Delhi, VK Saxena, may be reassigned to either Jammu & Kashmir or West Bengal. He may also be given a cabinet birth and made a Cabinet Minister.

Meanwhile, Manoj Sinha, the current LG of Jammu & Kashmir and a close confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is said to be under consideration for a prominent organizational role within the BJP.

If VK Saxena is not posted to Jammu & Kashmir, sources suggest he could be considered for the Manipur Governor’s role instead.

A senior BJP leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, described Manoj Sinha as one of the party’s most skilled electoral strategists and a firm taskmaster. Given his track record, he is seen as a strong candidate for a top leadership role within the party, potentially even the party presidency.
