The Government of India has announced two significant appointments in public sector organizations:

Rashi Sharma Appointed as DDG (Rural Business & Planning)

Ms. Rashi Sharma, a 2003-batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer, has been elevated to the position of Deputy Director General (Rural Business & Planning).

With nearly two decades of experience in postal services, her new role will focus on strengthening rural business operations and strategic planning initiatives under the Department of Posts.

This appointment underscores the government’s emphasis on enhancing last-mile connectivity and financial inclusion in rural India through postal networks.

Ajit Kumar Mishra Takes Charge as Director (Works), IRCON International

Ajit Kumar Mishra, currently serving as Executive Director at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), has been designated as Director (Works) at IRCON International Limited.

IRCON, a premier Miniratna PSU under the Railways Ministry, executes critical infrastructure projects globally.

Mishra’s extensive experience in railway infrastructure and project execution will be instrumental in driving IRCON’s ongoing and future construction projects, particularly in rail, roads, and metro sectors.

These strategic appointments reflect the government’s focus on placing experienced professionals in key roles to strengthen public sector enterprises and their operational capabilities. Both officers are expected to bring their domain expertise to enhance organizational performance in their respective sectors.
