As many as 8 officers belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) have been transferred locally by West Bengal Government. Accordingly,
- Santosh Pandey, Dhrubajyoti De, Sumanjit Ray, Rashid Munir Khan have been put on compulsory waiting.
- Prasun Banerjee has been reinstated as SP, Malda.
- Arnab Ghosh as SP South Dinajpur.
- Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri as SP North 24-Parganas.
- P. B. Salim was brought back as DM of South 24-Parganas.
