IRS Officer Smita Roy has been named Deputy Secretary at GST Council Secretariat.
Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Smita Roy, a 2015-batch officer of the Customs & Indirect Taxes cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the GST Council Secretariat. Currently serving as Joint Commissioner in the Mumbai GST and Central Excise Zone, she will now take up her new role on a four-year central deputation.
