Special Secretary (Administrative Reforms), GNCTD, to Be Relieved on September 6, 2025, as Per Revised MHA Order

IAS officer Vivek Kumar Tripathi (AGMUT cadre, 2018 batch), currently posted as Special Secretary in the Administrative Reforms Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), is now scheduled to be relieved of his duties on the forenoon of September 6, 2025. This follows a revised order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), modifying his previously approved transfer date of May 30, 2025.

Relieving Date Revised in Line with MHA Orders

The change in schedule stems from a partial modification to GNCTD’s earlier order dated May 26, 2025, in accordance with two MHA directives:

Order No. 15041/02/2024-UTS-I (dated June 3, 2025)

Order No. 15041/05/2023-UTS-I (dated May 16, 2025)

The MHA, which oversees postings in the AGMUT cadre (Arunachal Pradesh–Goa–Mizoram–Union Territories), had recently reviewed several transfer requests from IAS and IPS officers, many citing personal or family health reasons. These cases were examined on compassionate grounds.

Extension Granted on Request

Among the officers reviewed was Mr. Vivek Kumar Tripathi, who had formally requested a deferral or cancellation of his transfer. After evaluation, the MHA approved a temporary extension, allowing him to continue his service in Delhi until early September. The extension provides time for him to wrap up ongoing responsibilities before moving to Mizoram for his new assignment.

Career Profile

A 2018-batch IAS officer, Tripathi has held several key roles across the AGMUT cadre. His tenure in Delhi’s Administrative Reforms Department has focused on modernizing governance frameworks and improving bureaucratic efficiency.

His forthcoming posting in Mizoram aligns with the cadre’s routine rotation and transfer policy, aimed at ensuring equitable administrative deployment across Union Territories and the Northeast.
