On July 3, 2025, InterGlobe Aviation Limited, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines, appointed Amitabh Kant as a Non-Executive Director on its Board. Kant, a distinguished civil servant and former CEO of NITI Aayog, recently stepped down from his role as India’s G20 Sherpa.
Throughout his career, he has held several prominent positions, including Union Secretary, Director on the Board of the National Highways Authority of India, and Member of the National Statistical Commission. Kant is widely credited for leading key national campaigns such as Make in India, Startup India, and Incredible India.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Kant stated, “I am delighted to join the Board of InterGlobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo).
