ACC Announces Key Bureaucratic Appointments Across Home Affairs, UIDAI, and Food Corporation of India
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has issued fresh orders approving the transfer and appointment of three senior officers to major administrative roles across different ministries and departments.
Mr Gaya Prasad to Join Ministry of Home Affairs as Joint Secretary
Mr Gaya Prasad, a 1996-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will serve in this capacity until his superannuation on July 31, 2028, or until further directives are issued—whichever comes first. He succeeds Shri Mihir Kumar, an officer of the 1996 batch of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS).
Mr Siljo V K Named Deputy Director General, UIDAI
Mr Siljo V K, a 2004-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been assigned the post of Deputy Director General (DDG) at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. His appointment is for a period of five years or until further orders, replacing Shri Manish Bhardwaj, IAS (Gujarat cadre, 1997 batch).
Ms Hema Jaiswal Appointed Executive Director, Food Corporation of India
Ms Hema Jaiswal, a 2004-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been appointed as Executive Director in the Food Corporation of India (FCI) under the Department of Food & Public Distribution. Her tenure will extend for five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She takes over from Shri Akhilesh Misra, IRSME (1995 batch).
These appointments reflect the government’s continued focus on placing experienced officers in pivotal administrative positions to ensure efficient governance and operational oversight across critical sectors.
