Richa Verma, a 2012-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation Limited.
Previously, Verma served as the Deputy Commissioner of Kullu, where her commendable efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in aiding stranded citizens, earned her wide appreciation. She has also held key administrative roles, including CEO of the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority in Solan district and Director, Land Records for the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Her new role is expected to bring enhanced administrative oversight and strategic focus to revitalizing the state’s traditional crafts and supporting artisan communities.
