The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has appointed Satyam Mohan, a 2015-batch Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) officer, as Commissioner (Housing) at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to the appointment order, Mohan has been selected for a four-year tenure at the DDA. The position carries the rank and level of Deputy Secretary in the Central Government.

The appointment places him in an important administrative role within the DDA, which is responsible for planned urban development, housing initiatives, land management and infrastructure expansion in the national capital.

Three-Week Deadline to Assume Charge

As per the DoPT directive, Mohan is required to take charge of his new assignment within three weeks from the date of issue of the appointment order.

The department has also stipulated that failure to assume charge within the prescribed timeframe could result in his debarment from central deputation.

The condition underscores the importance attached to timely assumption of charge under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Four-Year Tenure at Delhi Development Authority

Mohan’s appointment as Commissioner (Housing) will be for a period of four years, subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the Central Staffing Scheme.

In his new capacity, he will be associated with the DDA’s housing-related administrative responsibilities, an important area of urban governance involving residential development and housing initiatives in Delhi.

The appointment marks a significant central government assignment for the 2015-batch IDES officer.
