The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved multiple Joint Secretary-level appointments across ministries including Defence, Civil Aviation, Environment, Finance, Health, and Home Affairs, ensuring continuity of governance and administrative efficiency.
The ACC has formally sanctioned a series of appointments of officers to positions at the level of Joint Secretary and equivalent, with remuneration fixed at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix.
Shri Kapil Meena, IAS (Sikkim: 2010), has been appointed as Managing Director, National Horticulture Board (NHB), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. His tenure shall extend for a combined period of five years, up to 17 January 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment supersedes the earlier order concerning Shri Satyendra Singh, IFoS (Assam: 1996), and replaces Shri B. Srinivas, IAS (Kerala: 1991).
Shri G. Venkatesh, ICAS (1997), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, succeeding Shri Deepak Mishra, IFoS (Kerala: 1996).
Ms. Priyanka Das, IAS (Madhya Pradesh: 2009), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, for a combined tenure of five years up to 5 March 2030, succeeding Shri Shobhit Gupta, IRSEE (2000).
Shri Jawahar Packirisamy, IAS (UT: 2007), has been appointed as Chairman (JS level), Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA), Department of Commerce, for a tenure of five years, succeeding Shri Dodda Venkata Swamy, IAS (Odisha: 2001).
Ms. Preeti Meena, IAS (Telangana: 2010), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for a combined tenure of five years up to 15 February 2028, succeeding Shri Mayank Tewari, IRSME (1993).
Shri Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, IAS (Manipur: 2007), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for a tenure of five years, succeeding Shri Rakesh Mittal, IDES (1995).
Shri Vinod Kumar, IRSME (1998), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for a tenure of five years, succeeding Shri Dharmendra Kumar Singh, IA&AS (2000).
Shri Ajeet Kumar Srivastava, IRAS (1999), has been appointed as Additional FA & Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for an overall tenure of five years up to 4 April 2029, succeeding Shri Vedveer Arya, IDAS (1997).
Shri Vipul Aggarwal, IPS (Gujarat: 2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, for an overall tenure of seven years up to 15 March 2027, succeeding Shri Shantanu, IAS (Tripura: 1997).
Ms. Sakshi Mittal, IAS (UT: 2010), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, for a combined tenure of five years up to 19 May 2029, succeeding Shri Rajeev Saksena.
