In a sweeping bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has transferred multiple senior IAS officers. The General Administration Department has officially issued a notification detailing the new appointments.
Key Appointments and Transfers:
Mihir Kumar Singh (1993-batch) Previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Road Construction Department, Mr. Singh has now been appointed ACS of the Industry Department. He will also hold the additional charge of the Transport Department.
Chandrashekhar Singh (2010-batch) Currently the Divisional Commissioner of Patna, Mr. Singh has been assigned additional responsibilities as Secretary of the Disaster Management Department.
B. Kartikeya Dhanji (2008-batch) Former Secretary of the Road Construction Department, Mr. Dhanji has been transferred to head the Sugarcane Industry Department. Additionally, he will serve as Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department.
Lokesh Kumar Singh (2003-batch) Serving as Secretary of the Rural Development Department, Mr. Singh will now also hold the additional charge of the Health Department.
Sandeep Kumar R. Pudkalkatti Having served as Secretary of the Transport Department, Mr. Pudkalkatti has been reassigned as Secretary of the Road Construction Department.
This reshuffle is seen as part of the state’s broader strategy to streamline administrative functions and enhance departmental efficiency.
