New Delhi, May 31, 2025 – The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has elevated six senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers to the rank of Chief Commissioners of Income Tax (CCIT) for the 2025 panel year, effective June 1, 2025. The move is part of the department’s regular cadre restructuring to reinforce top-level leadership.
Pending their official postings, the newly promoted officers will assume charge as CCIT (Officer on Special Duty – OSD) in their respective regions—a standard transitional arrangement during such appointments.
