In Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle Strategic Postings to Enhance Governance Across Key Sectors
In a significant administrative overhaul, the Delhi Government on June 26, 2025, issued transfer and posting orders for seven IAS officers, including two at the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) level. These strategic realignments aim to bolster governance across critical areas such as finance, urban development, vigilance, environment, trade, and planning.

Bipul Pathak Given Broader Mandate in Financial and Industrial Sectors
Senior bureaucrat Bipul Pathak (IAS:1992:AGMUT), known for his multi-sectoral experience and strategic leadership, has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Finance & Planning. He will also continue to hold the additional charges of ACS, Industries, and Chairman, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC). His expanded role is expected to drive key reforms and infrastructure development.
Prashant Goyal Appointed Financial Commissioner
Prashant Goyal (IAS:1993:AGMUT) has been appointed Financial Commissioner, effective July 1, 2025, succeeding Chetan B Sanghi (IAS:1988:AGMUT) upon his superannuation. Goyal, previously ACS, Urban Development and Chairperson, SRDC, brings substantial expertise in urban governance to his new position.
New Assignments within GNCTD
Sandeep Kumar (IAS:1997:AGMUT), returning from Lakshadweep, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Vigilance, with additional charges of Principal Secretary, Administrative Reforms, and Environment & Forests.
Pandurang K Pole (IAS:2004:AGMUT), currently serving as Secretary, Higher Education and TTE, will take on the additional responsibility of Secretary, Urban Development from July 1, 2025.
A. Nedunchezhiyan (IAS:2012:AGMUT), transferred from Puducherry, has been appointed Principal Director, Delhi Fire Service.
Arun Kumar Mishra (IAS:2012:AGMUT), returning from Goa, has been placed at the disposal of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
Suneel Anchipaka (IAS:2014:AGMUT), also from Goa, has been posted as Special Commissioner, Trade & Taxes.

On June 24, 2025, Ramesh Verma (IAS:2009:AGMUT) was appointed Chairman, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB), with the additional role of Director, Union Territory Civil Services (UTCS). Known for his administrative skills, Verma is expected to bring enhanced transparency and innovation to Delhi’s recruitment and civil services framework.
