ACC Approves Additional Charge of Development Commissioner, Kandla SEZ to IAS Officer Dnyaneshwar Bhalchandra Patil
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Commerce for the entrustment of additional charge of the post of Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Kandla.
As per the official order, the additional responsibility has been assigned to Shri Dnyaneshwar Bhalchandra Patil, IAS (MP:2003), who is currently serving as Development Commissioner of the Santa Cruz Exclusive Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ SEZ), Mumbai.
Shri Patil will hold the additional charge of Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone Kandla, for a period of nine months with effect from October 28, 2025, to July 27, 2026, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier.
An Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2003 batch from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Shri Patil brings extensive administrative experience to the additional assignment. The decision ensures uninterrupted leadership and operational continuity at the Kandla SEZ during the interim period.
The communication has been issued by the Department of Commerce from New Delhi under the authority of Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary. Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chief Secretary of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the officer concerned, and other relevant authorities for necessary action.
The order has been signed by Ms. Sakshi Mittal, Director, Department of Commerce, New Delhi.
