Dr. Arti Singh Becomes Mumbai Police’s First Joint Commissioner (Intelligence)

In a historic development, Dr. Arti Singh, a 2006-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the first-ever Joint Commissioner (Intelligence) in the Mumbai Police. This newly created position marks a strategic step toward bolstering the city’s intelligence operations and internal security apparatus.

Profile of Dr. Arti Singh

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Singh served as Inspector General (Administration) at the Maharashtra Police Headquarters. An MBBS graduate from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), she has earned a stellar reputation for her leadership in high-pressure assignments.

Notably, she headed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Badlapur incident and previously held the post of Commissioner of Police in Amravati.
