Dr. Piyush Singla Appointed Administrative Secretary, IT; Masjid Khalil Ahmed Drabu Named Investigation Commissioner
In a significant administrative overhaul, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has transferred a total of 24 officers, including 20 IAS and 4 JKAS officers, with immediate effect. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the transfer orders on Wednesday, marking a strategic move aimed at streamlining key departments such as Social Welfare, IT, Transport, Tourism, and Public Service Delivery.
Major IAS Postings and Departmental Shifts
Among the top-level changes:
Anil Kumar Singh (IAS, 1995 batch) has been appointed Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
Saurabh Bhagat, previously Commissioner/Secretary, Science & Technology, is now Commissioner/Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal has been designated as Secretary, Science and Technology Department.
