IRS officer Karan Thapar has been granted an extension in his Central deputation tenure.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade for extension in the Central deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme of IRS Karan Thapar.
Currently IRS officer Karan Thapar (C&CE:2009) is serving as Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, With the new order now he will be serving on the post for a period of one year beyond 16.02.2025 and upto 16.02.2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
