Bhopal: IAS officer Sheela Dahima has been awarded the Chief Minister’s Excellence Award for the year 2022–23 for her innovative efforts in supporting board exam students. The award was presented by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
A 2015-batch IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre and a native of Sardar Singh Ki Dhani near Kishangarh, Ms. Dahima currently serves as the Additional Secretary at the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
She was recognised for her initiative of producing motivational videos to help students cope with exam pressure. These videos were made available through YouTube and the board’s official website, offering guidance, encouragement, and stress relief to thousands of students preparing for their board exams.
For her impactful work, she received a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with a certificate of appreciation. The award was part of a larger recognition programme, where 14 administrative officers across six categories were honoured for exemplary service and innovation.
Beyond her official duties, Ms. Dahima is also known for her motivational YouTube channel, where she shares social messages and awareness content through songs and spoken word. Her calming voice and youth-focused content have gained her a strong following.
Sheela Dahima is the daughter of retired IAS officer Maan Dahima and has continued her family’s legacy of public service with distinction. Her award is seen by many in her hometown as a source of inspiration, especially for young people aspiring to make a meaningful difference in society.
