In a notable bureaucratic reshuffle announced by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on June 27, 2025, two senior civil servants—IAS officer Punya Salila Srivastava and IRS officer Pankaj Bodkhe—have been given new roles.

Punya Salila Srivastava Given Additional Responsibility

Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS: 1993 batch, AGMUT cadre), who is presently serving as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Health Research.

This arrangement will be effective from June 28 to July 6, 2025, during the leave of Dr. Rajiv Bahl, as per official orders issued by the DoPT.

IRS Officer Pankaj Bodkhe Repatriated from KVIC

Pankaj Bodkhe (IRS-C&IT: 2000 batch), who was posted as Financial Adviser at the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) in Mumbai, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.

The repatriation has been done on personal grounds and was approved by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and cleared by the competent authority.

Notably, Bodkhe was appointed to KVIC in April 2023 for a five-year tenure ending in 2028. However, his tenure has been curtailed by nearly three years, and the repatriation will be followed by a mandatory extended cooling-off period.
