Following the appointment of Telangana’s new Chief Secretary, the state government has undertaken a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 21 IAS officers. The changes were formalized through Government Order Ms No. 515 issued on Sunday.
Key senior officials, including Smita Sabharwal, Jayesh Ranjan, M Dana Kishore, and Shashank Goel, were among those reassigned. The reshuffle aims to streamline governance and strengthen critical departments.
Shashank Goel, formerly Director General of the Dr MCR HRD Institute, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Centre for Good Governance. He will also hold full additional charge (FAC) as Director General of EPTRI, succeeding Ahmad Nadeem.
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary (ITE&C and Sports), has been posted as Special Chief Secretary to the Government and CEO of the Industry & Investment Cell in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and the SPEED initiative. He will also continue as FAC for the YAT&C Department and Directorate of Archaeology.
Smita Sabharwal has been posted as Member Secretary of the Telangana Finance Commission.

Sanjay Kumar, previously handling LET&F, is now Special Chief Secretary for Industries & Commerce, ITE&C, and Sports.

M Dana Kishore has been shifted from Principal Secretary (MAUD) to Principal Secretary (LET&F), with FAC responsibilities as Labour Commissioner and Principal Secretary to the Governor.

TK Sreedevi, Director of Municipal Administration, becomes Secretary to the Government for Municipal Administration (outside HMDA limits).

Ilambarithi K, GHMC Commissioner, will now head the Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department (HMDA limits), with RV Karnan stepping in as the new GHMC Commissioner.
