In a key administrative development, the Ministry of Finance has approved the appointment of six IRS officers and one DANIPS officer as Deputy Directors in the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The appointments were formalized on Wednesday and will be on a deputation basis for a period of three years or until the end of their approved deputation tenure, whichever is earlier.

List of Appointed Officers:

Pranav Dubey (IRS-IT: 2018)

Bikram Gangwar (IRS-IT: 2018)

Ajay Bidari (IRS-C&IT: 2017)

Swati Nokhwal (IRS-C&IT: 2017)

Jaiprakash Bhamu (IRS-C&IT: 2016)

Manish Jorwal (DANIPS: 2014)

These appointments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to bolster the ED’s capacity in tackling complex financial crimes and enforcing key legislations such as the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The move underscores a strategic push to reinforce economic law enforcement and enhance the agency’s operational efficiency in dealing with money laundering, economic offences, and cross-border financial violations.
