K N Chandana Jahnavi, who secured an impressive All India Rank 50 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023, has been posted as Assistant Commissioner in Sivasagar district, Assam. She belongs to the 2024 batch of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
Her posting comes as part of her district training following the completion of Phase-I of the IAS Professional Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. During this phase, she will gain hands-on administrative experience at the grassroots level.
Originally from Hyderabad, Telangana, Ms. Jahnavi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from BIT Mesra and an MBA from IIM Indore. Before joining the IAS, she worked for over a year as a Solution Advisor at Deloitte India (US offices), specializing in Regulatory and Operational Risk.
This assignment marks the beginning of Jahnavi’s on-ground journey in public service, where she will work closely with the district administration to deepen her understanding of governance and local development.
