In the wake of recent administrative reshuffles, the Gujarat government on Thursday issued orders assigning additional charges to four IAS officers and one Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officer to ensure smooth functioning and continuity in governance.
Key Appointments and Additional Charges:
Vijay Kharadi (IAS, 2009), currently Managing Director of Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation, has been assigned additional charge as Commissioner of Fisheries, succeeding N.K. Meena, who has been transferred.
K.C. Sampat (IAS, 2012), Managing Director of iNDEXTb, will now also hold the position of Additional Industries Commissioner.
Adra Agrawal (IAS, 2007), serving as Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries, has been given additional charge as Managing Director of the Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation.
V.I. Patel (IAS, 2019), Additional Commissioner at the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board, has been entrusted with dual additional roles as Mission Director of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and Mission Director of the Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission.
Mehul Desai, a Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officer and currently Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Gandhinagar, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Gandhidham, replacing M.P. Pandya.
These appointments aim to maintain administrative efficiency and stability in key departments following recent transfers and organizational adjustments.
