The Madhya Pradesh government has extended the official transfer window and issued a fresh set of postings involving senior IPS officers. The General Administration Department announced today that the transfer period, originally scheduled to end on May 30, will now remain open until June 10, 2025. The move comes as several departments, including the Home Department, continue to finalize administrative reshuffles.

As part of the latest reshuffle, the Home Department has transferred two IPS officers and assigned additional charge to another.
Pragya Richa Srivastava Appointed DG, Home Guard and Disaster Management
1991-batch IPS officer Pragya Richa Srivastava, who was previously serving as Special DGP (Women Safety) at Police Headquarters, Bhopal, has been appointed as Director General, Home Guard, Civil Security, and Disaster Management, Madhya Pradesh.
Anil Kumar Posted as ADGP, Women Security
Anil Kumar, a 1996-batch IPS officer who was serving as Additional DGP, SISF, Police Headquarters, has now been transferred to the post of ADGP, Women Security, Bhopal. He will also continue to hold additional charge of the Welfare Division at Police Headquarters.
Chanchal Shekhar Given Additional Charge of SISF
1995-batch IPS officer Chanchal Shekhar has been assigned additional charge of ADGP, SISF, Police Headquarters, in addition to his current responsibilities. This arrangement is temporary and will remain in effect until further orders.
Transfer Window Now Open Until June 10
The extension of the transfer window, originally set for May 1 to May 30, comes amid ongoing restructuring across departments. With many administrative orders still pending, the General Administration Department has allowed transfers to continue until June 10, 2025.
This decision is intended to support smoother administrative transitions and ensure that critical positions across departments are adequately staffed.
