The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the transfer of two senior IPS officers and one IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre to Chandigarh, as part of an ongoing administrative reshuffle.

According to the official order, Raj Kumar Singh, a 2004-batch IPS officer who was serving in Chandigarh and holding additional charge as Director General of Police (DGP), has been transferred to Delhi. His transfer leaves the DGP position in Chandigarh vacant, following the earlier exit of Mr. Surendra Yadav.

To fill the gap, Pushpendra Kumar, a 2006-batch IPS officer currently posted in Delhi, has been reassigned to Chandigarh. Joining him is K.M. Prianka, a 2021-batch IPS officer, who has also been moved from Delhi to Chandigarh.

On the civil services front, Pardeep Kumar, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from Jammu & Kashmir to Chandigarh under the same directive.

The reshuffle is part of routine cadre management aimed at ensuring balanced deployment across Union Territories.
