The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a series of major appointments in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), as per a notification issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.
Under the Central Staffing Scheme of the MoEFCC, three senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers have been assigned to important roles:

Ramesh Kumar Pandey (IFS: UP-1996) has been appointed as Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF) at MoEFCC headquarters in New Delhi. He will serve on deputation until May 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Anand Mohan (IFS: RJ-1996) has been selected as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (National CAMPA). His tenure will commence on or after May 1, 2025, and continue until April 18, 2027.

Santosh Tewari (IFS: BH-1993) will assume the post of Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF) at MoEFCC. His deputation is set to begin on or after August 1, 2025, and will conclude on August 11, 2026.
These appointments are seen as a move to further strengthen the leadership structure within India’s environmental and forest administration.
