The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has released a circular concerning the relieving of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers of the AGMUT Cadre who have been transferred to different segments within the cadre.

As per Para 8 (ix) of the Guidelines for Transfer/Posting of IFS Officers of AGMUT Cadre-2019, officers are deemed “stand relieved” effective from the date of issuance of this circular. Their salary for the subsequent month will be disbursed by the segment to which they have been transferred.

Officers who do not join their new assignment promptly will be held responsible for the delay. Additionally, non-compliance may impact their eligibility for future promotions or central deputations as per the guidelines.

All concerned officers, listed in Annexure-I, are instructed to immediately report to their new postings. Relieving orders and joining reports must be forwarded to the Ministry without delay.

Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action under applicable service rules. This directive has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
