In a major advancement within the Indian Forest Service (IFoS), three senior officers from the 1995 batch — Rama Shankar Sinha, Krishna Bahadur Singh, and Shyam Sundar Kandpal — have been promoted to the prestigious rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF).

These promotions, made under the Joint AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh–Goa–Mizoram–Union Territories) cadre, acknowledge the officers’ extensive contributions to forest conservation and environmental governance.

With their elevation to the PCCF rank, these officers will now assume the highest leadership roles within their respective state forest departments, playing a pivotal role in biodiversity conservation, forest management, and policy execution. This move is aimed at strengthening senior leadership in India’s forest and environmental administration.
