Uttar Pradesh: Shifting of 6 IAS Officers; Dinesh Kumar Named Special Secretary, Home Department

In a fresh bureaucratic reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has transferred six IAS officers, aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and deploy experienced officers in strategic roles.

Key Appointments and Transfers:

Avinash Singh: A 2009 batch promotee IAS officer, Avinash Singh has been assigned additional charge as Secretary, Technical Education Department, while retaining his current responsibilities. He will now focus on strengthening the state’s technical education system and ensuring effective rollout of skill development and educational infrastructure programs.

Dinesh Kumar: The 2012 batch IAS officer has been appointed Special Secretary in the Home Department. He will be responsible for law and order, internal security policies, and key administrative functions within the Home Ministry.

Brijraj Singh Yadav: A promotee from the 2012 batch, Yadav will now serve as Additional Land Arrangements Commissioner in the Revenue Council, Lucknow. His role will focus on land acquisition, revenue dispute resolution, and overall land governance—critical for supporting infrastructure growth in the state.

Vinod Kumar: Appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Aligarh, IAS officer Vinod Kumar will now oversee urban management and ensure the effective delivery of municipal services.

Prem Prakash Meena: The 2018 batch IAS officer, who was serving as Chief Development Officer (CDO) in Unnao, has also been posted as Municipal Commissioner, Aligarh. His experience across both rural and urban domains is expected to improve civic infrastructure and public service delivery.

Krati Raj: A 2020 batch IAS officer, Krati Raj has been transferred from the post of Joint Magistrate, Firozabad, to become the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Unnao. His focus will be on accelerating rural development, implementing welfare schemes, and streamlining district administration.

This round of transfers reflects the government’s continued effort to refresh administrative leadership across key departments and ensure smooth implementation of priority programs.
