Vikas Anand, a 2002-batch IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre, has been prematurely repatriated from central deputation to his parent cadre, clearing the way for his appointment in the Delhi government.
Mr. Anand was previously serving as CEO (Joint Secretary level) of the National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) under the Department of Public Enterprises.
His repatriation was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), following a proposal by the Department of Public Enterprises, as per an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 3, 2025.
Significantly, Mr. Anand had already been appointed as Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Ms. Rekha Gupta on April 7. With the repatriation order now in effect, he is set to formally take charge of his new responsibilities in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
